Refund Policy

At Spur Strap Minis, our goal is to place each puppy in a loving, committed, and well-prepared home. Because our breeding program requires significant planning, health testing, and early investment in every puppy, we maintain the following refund policies.

By placing a deposit or purchasing a puppy from SpurStrapMinis.com, you agree to the policies below.

A. Non-Refundable Deposit
All deposits or reservation fees paid to hold a spot on our waitlist or to reserve a puppy are non-refundable and good for 18 months.
This includes situations where:

• You change your mind

• Your circumstances change

• You find a puppy elsewhere

• Your preferred gender, color, or temperament is not available in a particular litter

Deposits demonstrate commitment and help us plan responsibly for upcoming litters.

B. Deposit Transfers
Although deposits are non-refundable, they may be transferred to a future litter at our discretion, or if your preferred choice is not available. We allow one transfer unless otherwise agreed upon.

If a specific litter does not produce a puppy that fits your preferences (gender, temperament, color), your deposit will remain valid for a future litter.
We do not issue refunds based on personal preference changes.

Every puppy is sent home with a medical chart showing age appropriate vaccinations and deworming schedule. If, within 72 hours of pickup, your veterinarian discovers a serious life-altering health issue that is verified and documented, you may:

• Return the puppy for a replacement puppy from a future litter, or

• Apply your payment toward another available puppy

We do not provide financial refunds for health-related returns.
The puppy must be returned to us with no evidence of injury, neglect, or illness caused after leaving our care.

Once a puppy has left our care and been delivered to or picked up by the buyer:

• The sale is considered final

• No refunds will be issued

• Purchaser is fully responsible for all veterinary care, training, and expenses

However, we always accept a returned dog at any age if the owner cannot keep them.
This is a return-to-breeder policy for the well-being of the dog—not a refund program.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel a sale if we believe a home is not a good fit.
In rare cases where we cancel the sale before puppy pickup for reasons unrelated to the buyer’s actions, a full refund of paid funds (including deposit) will be issued.

All payments made toward a puppy (outside of the initial deposit) are fully refundable only if:

• We cancel the sale, or

• A veterinarian confirms a severe congenital issue prior to pickup (per Section 3)

Otherwise, all payments—including partial or full purchase price—are considered non-refundable once made.

Refunds are not issued for:

• Travel delays

• Scheduling conflicts

• Buyer’s failure to pick up the puppy at the agreed-upon time

If you miss your pickup window without communication, the puppy may be offered to another approved family, and payments may be forfeited.
